Ellie’s Pawsitive Adventures, Solihull, is the controller for information used to provide dog walking and pet-sitting services.

Current business details are supplied in your booking correspondence and secure account.

What we use

We use your name, contact details, account security records, bookings, messages, payment status, and the pet, access, medical and vet instructions you choose to provide. Visit reports can include photos. Stripe handles card details; this website records Stripe references and payment status, not card numbers.

Why we use it

Account and booking information is used to take steps at your request and perform our service agreement. Care and emergency details are used to protect animal welfare and provide the care you requested. Financial records are kept for legal obligations. Security logs and fraud controls are used for legitimate interests in protecting customers and the service.

Who receives it

Information is limited to Ellie and service providers needed to run the service, such as the self-hosted infrastructure, email delivery and, when selected, Stripe. It is not sold. Emergency information may be shared with a vet when necessary to protect your pet.

Retention

Booking and payment records are normally kept for six years for accounting and dispute needs. Messages are removed two years after the last interaction, visit photos after twelve months, expired security events after twelve months, and rotating backups after their scheduled cycle. Active care instructions remain available while your account is in use. Erasure requests are completed unless a legal requirement requires a limited record to be retained.

Your rights

You can download a copy of your account data and request erasure from Account & privacy. You may also ask for correction, restriction or objection by messaging Ellie. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your data has not been handled fairly.

Security and changes

Accounts use encrypted transport, password hashing, session controls and access checks. No system is risk-free, so please use a unique password and report unexpected activity. Material changes will be shown with a new policy version and, where appropriate, notified to account holders.
